The Cochran School of Nursing is a hospital-based nursing school established more than a hundred years ago in 1894 at the St. John's Riverside Hospital in Westchester County, New York. It is the largest nursing school in the county with over 300 students currently enrolled and over 2000 graduates.

The Cochran School of Nursing program accepts students who are in their first level of study to become registered nurses as well as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) who wish to further their education and pursue a license as a Registered Nurse. The Cochran School of Nursing offers a two-year nursing program designed to prepare students for licensure as registered nurses. Since Licensed Practical Nurses do not have to take basic nursing courses, they are able to complete the program in 13 months. Nursing majors who graduate from the Cochran School of Nursing will receive an Associate Degree in Applied Science. In addition, the school's program is integrated with Mercy College to help students as they seek higher education.
