The third trimester pregnancy weeks, which starts from week 27 and lasts up to week 40, is the most exciting one. You have lots to learn and experience at this last stage of pregnancy.

Let’s take a look at each week of the last trimester, also known as the baby stage during pregnancy, for better understanding.

The 27th Week

Your baby’s brain, eyes, and lungs are in the process of development. You have got an extra large belly, which makes you almost impossible to sleep on your back. It’s a good idea to get a pregnancy calendar.

The 28th Week

Your baby can hear the sounds from the outside world. She is also capable of recognizing your voice now. So, start talking to her! The not-so-pleasant side of this week is that you might experience indigestion, gas, backache, skin rashes and constipation at this time. You may also gain some extra pounds.

The 29th Week

Your baby’s all five senses are working now. This is the time when your baby gains the chubby fat that gives her the adorable cuteness! Besides this, be ready for strong mood swings and an intense craving for food.

The 30th Week

Your baby can blink now. You may not feel like sleeping, as your baby exerts pressure on your back nerves and blood vessels. Try to sleep on your side using comfortable pillows as support.

The 31st Week

By now, you have a full-grow baby inside you. You may feel pain in the back and abdomen due to the expansion of ligaments. This is the time to visit your doctor to check for calcium deficiency.

The 32nd Week

Your baby now weighs around 3.5 pounds. This is a tough week for you, as you will feel exhausted, constipated, and your achy back will not let you sleep. You will be anxious about your pregnancy due date as well. Talking to your doctor or partner will relax you.

The 33rd Week

Your baby has got a lovely pink hue and has become chubbier by now! Her tiny head has grown a bit more. You might face problems like water retention, severe headaches, swelling of hands and face, and cramps. It’s best to keep in touch with your doctor at this stage of pregnancy development.

The 34th Week

Be prepared for false labor contractions. Take deep breaths or change your position. The contractions will vanish.

The 35th Week

You can actually feel your baby move inside your womb!

The 36th Week

Your baby is ready to come out. It’s time to get ready for delivery.

The 37th Week

You start getting the “nesting” syndrome, which makes you do strange things at this stage like clean your wardrobe, arrange furniture, and others!

The 38th Week

The baby changes its position and its head is ready to come out. Labor can begin anytime!

The 39th Week

Your baby is 7 pounds and ready to arrive.

The 40th Week

At last, you are about to deliver!

The third trimester pregnancy week has ended and your bundle of joy is now in your arms!
