If you have a pet, chances are that at one time or another your pet have urinated on the carpet. Here are a few tips you can use to get out the spost before it stains and before the smell becomes a problem.

One of the tips you can try to help remove urine stains is to take baking soda, and place it on the affected spot. One part of vinegar diluted with two parts of warm water can prove to be a very efficient remedy in situations such as this. Still, you have to be very careful when you rub the stained area, since this can cause the extension of the spot rather than its disappearance and this is the last thing you want.

Other things you can do for pet stains is to pour some liquid dish soap with a little warm water on a sponge and mildly blot the mix on the spot. Then, put some cold water on the stain and lay paper towels down until the liquid is absorbed and the area dries. Salt is another ingredient that can remove these disturbing pet stains. Place plenty of salt over the affected area and cover it with a paper towel. Then, let the salt take action for a couple of hours, and this should permanently remove both the stain and the odor. Is use use dish soap then you need to ensure you get all the residue off the carpets. If not the oils will attract more dirt and a spot will appear over the course of time.

Baking soda also works wonders on pet odors and even pet accidents. There are many places to look online to find solutions on how best to use the baking soda as well as what mixtures work best.

Since pet stain carpet cleaning is a very unpleasant activity, you should always take into consideration some advice that could help prevent your pets from urinating on the carpet. Going to a pet store and asking for some tips would be a good idea, or talking to your pets vet is another.

If your carpets have pet urine on them then a great product on the market is Anti-Icky Poo. Silly name and expensive stuff but the enzymes in this product eat urine and the solution really works at getting underneath the top layer of the carpet.
