Essentials Steps to Successful MLM Prospecting

When it comes to successful MLM prospecting there are three essential steps that any network marketer must know, to establish, create, and grow their business. These steps include:

• Finding Leads

• Exposing the Company

• Separating Leads

By following each of these steps, you will have the ability to experience success in MLM prospecting and ultimately success in your MLM business.

It is a well-known fact that in order to succeed in an MLM business it is imperative that you constantly prospect new people into your downline. At the same time, you must also be generating leads. If you are without leads, then who will you prospect or even sponsor? No one! There are several ways to generate leads for both you and your downline.

One of the most popular ways is making full use of message boards and forums. This is a great way to generate leads and prospects. All you have to do is post as normal, at relevant websites, and include your product, company, and personal information in the signature file. This method invites any interested person to contact you, about your business. Of course, this is not the only method of generating prospecting leads; you could form a breakfast club of business owners to swap leads, create interesting answers to the question “what do you do for a living”, or even make use of press releases.

Exposing the company is not at all hard, but this can only be done after you have generated leads. In MLM prospecting, you approach your leads enthusiastically but not over the top with enthusiasm. In order to excel in prospecting, you must expose the company and its product; however, you should do so with excitement, but in a laid back and conversational manner. This requires people skills, because many people are skeptical about MLM companies, thanks to the bad seeds.

Because it is important to keep your contact with prospects conversational, one excellent piece of advice is to use what is known as F.O.R.M. when speaking with any new prospect. This is particularly helpful when it comes to sharing your opportunity with those in the “offline” world.

• F – Family (Are you married? How many kids do you have?)

• O – Occupation (What do you do for a living? Do you like it?)

• R – Recreation (What are your hobbies? Do you have time for them? What would you do if

you had more time for your hobbies?)

• M – Message (your company, your opportunity, and how your business can benefit them)

The key to F.O.R.M. is that you cannot implement the message until you have discussed the first three. You have to listen to what the prospect is saying. As an example, if while the person is talking, they mention they simply do not have the time they want to spend with their Family, or make enough money in their Occupation to afford their Recreation, you can then proceed to your Message. Using the three F’s Feel, Felt, and Found, you can inform your prospect within your message, How you know how they feel, you felt the same way, and what you found to overcome those situations.

The last step is separating your leads. You have to place your leads into two areas. The first area is those who are gung ho about your opportunity and the other area are those who are skeptical. Those within the first area, you can immediate sign them up and get them on the road to a successful MLM business of their own. Those in the second area, you will need to take a little more time, if they still do not show an interest, you may be able to generate other interested leads from them.
