For any company that deals with customers and products it should be a requirement that you build a list. The reason is simple and clear. This is an asset that you have and can be leveraged for months and years to bring in solid and consistent income. A responsive email list is a collection of leads and buyers and if you treat them well they are likely to become repeat buyers. There are different methods of list building but probably the easiest is through a squeeze page.

If you have got an email sign up box on your website but very few people are signing up to your list then you should try a squeeze page strategy. It is very simple but extremely effective. You send visitors to a page which has a headline, some bullet points and an email sign up box. There are no other links to click and the only two options are either register or leave the page.

If you follow this strategy and the writing on your page is enticing enough you can get one in every two visitors to sign up. This is very powerful compared to a visitor who enters your site, take a look around and then leaves. That person will probably forget your site name and never return whereas the person who gave you their email is allowing you to the chance to build a personal relationship with them. When you have their interest you can provide them with valuable content and build trust and this in turn bolsters your business.
