If you are a little down on your luck in this economy and you really need to create some quick cash, you can create this small business in one day with less than $100 in supplies. All you need is the drive to deliver a sales letter to houses in your area. read on to find out about this quick-cash business.

If you are not worried about getting your hands a little dirty, and you don't mind your neighbors watching you out there windows, you can create a curb painting business in just a few hours. The whole business starts with a sales letter. You will need to create a simple, one-page sales letter that explains the importance of having visible house numbers for safety reasons.

Your sales letter should talk about how necessary it is to protect loved ones in the times of an emergency and how hard it can be for emergency vehicles to read house numbers that are far away. You can also talk about making it easier for pizza to get delivered and friends to come over for parties if you don't want to take the scary approach, but you will probably sell more for people willing to protect their families.

The letter will go on to say that you will be in the neighborhood in 1-2 days (put the exact date in the letter) and you will be painting house numbers on curbs with reflective paint. You can pick the paint up at any big home store or buy it in bulk on-line.

Once you have a sales letter that will really get the reader's attention and tug at the heart strings a little, then you will put it in a plain white envelope with nothing written on it. The letter will instruct the customer to place a check for the price that you are charging (made out to you) and tape it to their front door on the morning of the day you are painting. You should definitely include your phone number so that they can call you if they have trust issues.

One the day of painting, you walk around the neighborhood and collect the money, painting each house number for about 10 minutes using a set of purchased stencils that you can buy. Make sure that you practice at home on a piece of wood before you go painting other people's curbs. Also check with your local municipality to make sure that you are allowed to paint house numbers on curbs. Some associations may not allow it.

As your sales letter gets tweaked and is very convincing, you can move on to different neighborhoods and expand your territory, collection your checks along the way. This is a great business if you are not interested in talking to people and selling face to face.
