Entrepreneur - Create an Information Brokerage Business at Your Kitchen Table
Print This Article Ezine Publisher Send To Friends Add To Favorites Post A Comment Suggest Topic Report Author

We have reached the information age. The person that holds the information has the power. Here is an entrepreneurial business that you can start in your own home with little more than a library card and an internet connection. Read on to find out how you can start the perfect business.

Information brokering is a fairly new business idea. As an information broker, you will create new information products that provide solutions to your customer's problems. You will research your market, find certain pains that a customer may have, and that provide a solution to that pain.

Another facet of information brokering is that other companies will hire you for solutions to their problems. This will be a research intensive business and it should only be attempted by those that are self-motivated and do not require a lot of social interaction during the work day, as this is a fairly secluded business.

Much of your time will be spent researching new ideas and solutions to your customer's problems. The beauty with information is that you do not have to create a physical solution to the problem, just a step-by-step method, using the written word.

As your business grows, you may offer audio and video products as well in order to engage more of the customers' senses. You will need a basic contract if you are going to be doing research work for another company. Make sure that you get paid for doing the research as well as creating the information. Log all of your time to keep as proof, in case there is an issue when it comes to paying the bill.
