A groundbreaking new method that exists can assist in student loan debt consolidation. In addition, a new method has undoubtedly been inspired by the need for increased personnel in the teaching sector.
This method exists in the United Kingdom, whereby a student can have their debts cleared so long as they agree to key conditions. The main condition involves the new graduate to agree to teacher training. The second condition remains that the student must agree to complete at least four years of teaching in any school they have been accepted into.
There are no conditions attached to the level of teaching required. It can range from pre-elementary right through until high school. Once these years are completed, the government will clear any student loan debt incurred. The student must however, be prepared to commit themselves completely to the scheme, which by definition of its generosity quite understandably cuts all proceeds of the contract should the new graduate break off from its original agreement. This, it can be argued, is one of the downsides of the scheme, at least for the student.
There is however, obvious benefits to this scheme that outweighing the negatives. The chance to consolidate student loan debt in the form of an actual beneficial training program for oneself is tempting in itself, but the fact remains that this program is not only beneficial for those in debt, but also for the teaching sector as a whole.
Numbers are undoubtedly dwindling in the teaching department, as the level of student behavior and teacher pay dwindles with it. This 'carrot on a stick' to encourage a higher influx of teachers will be endlessly beneficial for those who worry about the consolidation of their student loan debts. It is not only considerable compensation for those affected by student debts, but also an incredible possibility for the public education sector.
Those who previously have not considered teaching as an option should now consider it! To take the example of the UK, a student may incur a loan debt of around twenty five thousand dollars on average over a three-year degree. From the days of student grants, the cost of a university degree has more than quadrupled over the past ten years. This type of incentive is key to consolidating this type of debt incurred. It may prove to be even more important in the future for every student loan debt.
