Our soul's sole purpose in life is to create emotional and spiritual growth. There are practical tools to help you stop struggling with your emotions and start engaging them in your relationships, family life, career, and inner development.
As humans we celebrate, repress, analyze, deny, medicate, adore and ignore our emotions. However, there are few opportunities to learn these practical tools. Emotional and spiritual growth is an unending process of connecting to the universal knowledge for its own sake. Your frustration will vanish when you learn to take pleasure in your journey. Life is a journey not a race to be won or a case to be put to rest.
Carl Jung distinguished between spirit as a psychological concept and its traditional use in religion. From the psychological point of view, the phenomenon of spirit, like every autonomous complex, appears as an intention of the unconscious superior to, or at least on a par with, intentions of the ego. If we are to do justice to the essence of the thing we call spirit, we need to speak of a "higher" consciousness rather than of the unconscious. ["Spirit and Life," CW 8, par. 643.]
Your emotions carry the specific information and energies you need to heal the wounds of your past and respond wisely in any situation. For example: Anger contains the crucial insights you need to change a self-defeating behavior, while your fear may hold the energies and memories you need to resolve and heal a traumatic experience.
Your 'higher consciousness' is the key to decoding your experiences and ensuing emotions. You can learn to access your higher conscious mind to release the mental and physiological patterns that block healthy emotional flow - overcome the persistent cycles that perpetuate depression, anxiety and other troubling emotional states.
Through this healing process you can experience yourself and the gifts of who you truly are.
