After setting up your landing page and auto-responder the next thing you're going to have to do is decide what kind of messages you want to send to your list and how often. Here are a few tips if you're just starting out.
1. Courtesy
When writing your first messages it is best to simply thank the person who just put their name down on your list for doing so and offer them a free download. This will start building the relationship between you and your list which will ensure sales later on.
It is possible to make sales by simply making an offer right away or reminding them about your product but the rapport between you will be lost.
2. Easy Frequency
When sending messages to your list send messages weekly or bi-weekly. When someone has already been to your landing page, put their name down for your list and watched a video or read a book about your product then they already know if they're going to buy or not.
The role of the messages should be to only remind them not inundate them daily with 'my offer is still online but only for a few more days!' messages or 'have you seen this?!' messages.
These lead to people removing themselves from your list or filtering you out of their inboxes.
3. Holiday Wishes
When making messages that offer holiday wishes always include a free gift. Also when possible make the gift relate to the holiday. For example if it is Halloween then send over a free e-book about how a person can make fun costumes for themselves and their families.
Lastly have fun with this, when sending a message use the tone you would with a good friend of yours who you're telling about something amazing you found.
