Credit card has become a basic essential of everyone's life today. Most of us have got more than one credit card. Now, keeping a track of all the monthly minimum payments and due dates for such cards can be a tedious job. Also, when we have credit available at our disposal, we don't think much before flashing it and swiping it for various purposes. The thought of payment comes once we start getting reminder calls from the collections department.

Once spent, the next question is how to manage our card debt. If the monthly payment is made religiously on every due date the task is simple. However, the moment your card account is two three payments delinquent , it seems difficult. The reason is simple: with missing payments you get interest charges and other penal charges on account.

So, the best way to control card debt is to ensure that monthly minimum payments are made on time as per schedule. Then, if you have somehow missed your payments, talk to the card company representative, they might offer you some in house relief program. It is always better to go for such programs as you can sort out your debt with the same company.

In case in house program does not meet your requirements, one can always opt for settlement programs.
