Effective and Redesigned Test to Avail US Citizenship

There are millions of people who wish to get settled in the United States it is also popular amongst the people as the land of opportunities. Since there are a whole lot of opportunities, more and more people plan to get settled in the US. Many of the people send their applications for the request to get the citizenship. Any person who has achieved the permanent settling residence status is entitled for applying to get the US citizenship. But, it is not the only thing that is required to be the established resident of US, it is essential to pass the citizenship test. This test checks the person's awareness and familiarity about they culture, traditions and history of US. Along with it, the capability for reading, writing, understanding and speaking English is also tested. In view of the fact that English is the national language of US, checking the ability is also made a part of the test.

There have been amendments made in the test and therefore, there is a redesigned US citizenship test for the people to be the naturalized citizens. The test has been redesigned as the earlier conducted test cam under an analysis of lacking meaningfulness and consistency. This redesigned US citizenship test is conducted by the USCIS or the United States Citizenship Immigration Services that is the department of security of the homeland. There are various questions asked in these tests. It has its main focus on the topics related to civics and history more willingly than the general questions that were given a priority in the earlier conducted citizenship tests. There is also emphasis laid on the privileges and rights of citizens.

Other than being the elementary tool in the process of naturalization, the redesigned citizenship test is also an instrument that is proved to be helpful in the promotion of patriotism that is required and also is useful for those who are about to become the US citizens. The redesigned test has been designed by a group of education experts who propose and frame the questions that have the main aim of assessing the capability of the applicant and also whether they have knowledge about the American values or not. Along with checking the person's capability, there are some considerations made for the people who are 65 years or above and those who have been the citizens of US for at least twenty years. They do not require to attempt the complete test instead there are a few selected questions that they have to study.

The study material that is made available includes the civics flash cards, learning about the United States and also some additional study material. There are classes offered in various local schools and community collages.

In totality, there are a set of 100 questions and a minimum of 60% marks are required for qualifying for the test. There are two chances given to the person, if they fail in both of them then the procedure of filing an application. The US citizenship test is a necessary step that has to be taken by everyone who undergo the naturalization process.
