Effect of Games on Kids

Expert Author Abhishek Choudhari

The number of hours that kids spend in front of video games is increasing by the day. Today, games are played not only by school kids but also preschool kids. There are many developers who have designed games for preschoolers.

With the growth in the economy the income levels of people have increased. Earlier not all households could afford a video game. However, the high disposable income of the parents makes it easy for them to buy video games for their kids. Also, the change in technology has helped developers create lifelike characters that kids enjoy playing.

The widespread use of the computers is another reason for the growth of the gaming industry. Today, many schools and colleges use computers to impart education. These schools also use games to teach the kids as they are considered to be more affective. All this has increased the number of hours kids spend in front of games.

Playing video games for increased amounts of time can induce negative tendencies in kids. Most kids who are addicted to playing violent games tend to be more aggressive as compared to kids who don't play these games. Therefore it is important that parents and teachers are aware of what kids are doing in front of a television set or computer screen.

Some studies have revealed that health of kids and the number of hours they spend in front of computer is related. Kids who spend hours playing games are more prone to health problems as compared to kids who don't play these games.

Games can be good teachers provided you don't play the wrong games and limit the number of hours that you spend in front of the screen.

To play simple, non-addictive and fun games you can check out Flash Naruto Games and Ben 10 Games.
