Here's an question about ecourses I got the other day: "What are effective ways to promote affiliate products as well as my own in my ecourse?"

First of all, let's define what is meant by an affiliate product.  In a nutshell, all it is, is a product, service, etc (or ecourses *smile*) that someone else creates that you promote.

In exchange for promoting it, the product creator gives you a percentage of any sales that comes from your marketing efforts.

It's almost like the internet's version of commissioned advertising.  Get it?

So, let's say you have an internet business where you do floral arrangements.  Anything to do with floral arranging, you can do.  You then may have an ecourse teaching someone the step by step process of designing their very own centerpieces for a banquet.

With each of these steps, or sessions, throughout the ecourse, you can "advertise" for other people's product.  Maybe a vase company, maybe a flower seed company, maybe a figurine company.  You get where I'm coming from, no?

Now, keep this in mind, most people who are in business do so to make money.  This is best done when someone buys something from them.  When there is an opportunity to make money by selling something, most people will go for it.

Now you come along with an ecourse that is related to what they do, but not direct competition to what they do, and ask if you can market their product within this ecourse to a market that may not know about them, what do you think they will say?   Chances are, you may have just gotten yourself a nice affiliate partner.

Now, simply ask them if they would promote your ecourse.  Chances are they will just because it may be a way for them to get more sales. 

See how this works?  You promote their products and in turn, they promote you.  Seems like a pretty good deal for all involved, right?

Bottom line, be creative with what you do.
