Ecourses sell, that's not an issue. The thing to ask when creating your ecourse isn't so much "if I will make money with it', but more "how much money can I make with it."
This all boils down to your market, your target audience if you will. Is your target audience willing to pay for information about that topic?
If the answer is "yes", then you need to find out about your competition. You need to find out who the big players are and what they are doing. A good thing to do is get on their list somewhere. Find out what they are doing.
If the answer is "no", then you may want to find another topic to create your ecourse on. (that is, if you're wanting to make a lot of money with your topic).
There is no "wrong" topic to create your ecourse in. The only concern should be how much money YOU want to make within this topic.
Of course, the more people are wanting to pay for the information on that topic, the more people are going to have product to sell, which means the more competition you'll have. It also means the larger audience gives you the potential to make more money, which is a good thing.
The opposite is also true, the less people are wanting to pay, the less the competition which mean you'll get more of a "top billing" in that topic. You can set yourself apart more and more with this lesser topic, which is a good thing.
The thing to remember with your ecourse is there is no right or wrong topic, there is only your desire to create something within that certain topic.
One thing to remember is you can make money with ANY ecourse, no matter what topic. The question is, how much do you want to work and how much do you want to make with your ecourse creation.
