It seems like everyone has an ecourse these days. Some are fantastic, others are just there to take up band width. The beauty is, everyone sees an ecourse differently. You can produce an ecourse that you think is totally horrible but subscribers may think it's the best thing they've ever seen!
The point is, you just never know what you may (or may not) produce. So, bottom line, to not do anything should NEVER be an option.
But, to make the ecourse creation process more streamlined and give you the inside tract on creating one, let me give you an outline on how to get started.
- #1: Determine your niche or your topic. Find a topic you like or have passion about.
- #2: Research to see if there is a demand for this topic. Here's a secret, utilize GOOGLE.
- #3: What kind of competition is there for this topic? This will tell you what kind of supply there is out there.
- #4: Is the target market paying for anything in this field?
Each one of these steps is crucial for you to understand. BUT, they are not all black and white. For instance, just because there may not be a lot of competition doesn't mean there isn't a market for your topic. You can actually be the leader for that topic, but it also means there may not be a demand for that topic.
Understanding the supply and demand part of doing your ecourse is HUGE, so make sure you "get it". There is no right or wrong way to do your ecourse, or right or wrong topic, it is totally up to you. The main thing is your market, or target audience.
Do you know your target audience? Do you know what they want, what they need, what they would like?
Is information available on your topic? If not, can you make it so YOUR information is available?
Are you following me here? Do you understand the logic behind this sort of ecourse creation?
