A basic ecourse is not designed to be the biggest money maker in your product arsenal.  Ecourses are designed to give you the power to be perceived as the expert in your field, whether you are or you're not.

From this perception of expertise, you can build your business.  You can create additional products which will bring in money for you. 

Then you can develop additional advanced ecourses based on the other products you've created, which will result in even more products, which will bring in more money for your business.

See how this whole thing works?

Here's an example.  Let's say you create an basic ecourse on topic X.  From that ecourse, you can create a mini guide or a ebook.  You can even start doing teleseminars or records of some sort.  So, that's 2 or 3 additional products created from your basic ecourse.

Then, you can create an advanced ecourse on topic X.  Then another ebook, another recording, etc.

At this point (or even WAY before now), you get input from your followers as to what they want.  Get it?

That's why I always say an ecourse is the cornerstone of your business.  Developing and creating it the right way will not only give you more products, but it has the potential of growing your business to heights you've never dreamed of!

I use the analogy that an ecourse is like a kernel of corn.  You can literally start with one kernel of corn, plant it in the ground and get a whole corn stock with several ears of corn on it, right? 

You can take kernels from those ears and plant even more corn, which will result in more stalks and more ears of corn. 

So, when someone asks me how lucrative is an ecourse, my response is usually something to the effect of "how many ears of corn can you get from one kernel of corn.

Now, let me ask you this, how many products can you create from an ecourse?
