One of the questions that people ask about ecourses is "How to determine how much content is enough or is overload?"
I don't know if this is a gift or a curse, but I tend to look at questions and comment a bit differently than most others. The first thing I think of when I read this question is someone thinks there must be a stopping point for content.
Whether it's an ecourse, and ebook, an audio, video or whatever, the key to a good strong business is to constantly create content. If you ever feel there is no more content for you to create, you may as well retire from your internet business.
The second part of the question talks about content overload. I believe is you are constantly creating content, there is no such thing as content overload. Now, is there such a thing as too much content in your ecourse? That all depends on what kind of ecourse you're talking about.
For a teaching ecourse there should never be a question about content overload. You should always give more than what people expect.
For a promoting ecourse, giving too much content takes away the mystique of the actual product. So yes, you want to back off on how much content you want to give.
So, for a quick answer to the original question, how much content you provide depends on which kind of ecourse you're offering. If your ecourse is the kind that requires a lot of content, then too much content is a non issue. If the course is one where you are purposing leading someone to purchase something else, them you may want to turn the content down just a tad to leave room for the product you're leading people to.
Oh, keep this in mind, when giving away content, ALWAYS give away GREAT content, no matter what kind of ecourse the content is within.
