Ebooks - A Money Maker Or Time Waster?

Every where you look these days ebooks are held up as the money maker of the internet.

People claim to make thousands of dollars a day and boast of how they made this much or that much from one single ebook on auto pilot.

Lets face facts for a moment, there are ebook authors that have, are, and will make a fortune from their ebooks.

But there are many authors that will be frustrated to no end at not being able to sell a decent amount of copies and look to these claims of huge income as a reference point as to where they should be.

First things first, lets get something into perspective.

The very people who are making these claims are usually using them to sell you an ebook on how to do this....

Think back for a moment and you will find that 9 times out of 10 this is the case.

There is no way they are going to say, "Hey buy my ebook on how to sell ebooks. I do OK from it, but if you buy this i will be doing better!"

A lot of these claims are pure hype.

But....There are people making a fortune from ebooks.

The key is to write an ebook, put it into an affiliate program like ClickBank and let other people do all the promoting for you.

Then write another, and another, and another.

If you get 2 sales a day at $10 profit from each ebook from affiliates, but you have 10 ebooks....

I'm sure you see how this works.

Of course you can always write a best selling ebook, and i hope you do, but having 10 reasonable producing ebooks is a lot more attainable than having 1 best seller.

Now if 5 out of 10 became best sellers...

That is the truth about selling ebooks.

They are not a time waster and can make money.

So long as you have reasonable expectations.
