So you just finished created a new eBook. You're excited to get it to market. Well, you might want to hold on for a moment and make sure that you're not publishing something that's riddled with errors. I know you might think this is ridiculous, but trust me, even I have made the mistake of rushing an eBook to market only to later discover glaring typos that make me look bad.

I'd highly recommend allowing at least 8 to 10 hours to pass from the time you finish creating an eBook and the time you sit down to quickly proof-read it. If you can hire someone else to proof-read it for you, all the better. But more often than not, when you're just getting started, you need to do this yourself. So allow yourself some time to get away from the material and to rest your mind and eyes. Then, when you're fresh, look over everything on e last time. This is an incredibly important step because it will let you see what (if anything) needs to be corrected.

Here's the bottom line: far too many eBook publishers are in a rush these days. With countless new titles being created, it's just a matter of time before you end up publishing something that has glaring errors in it. Trust me, it doesn't take that long to proof-read your own eBook. Best of all, you can do it once and then you can have the confidence of knowing that you're providing something of value to your customers.
