Print This Article Ezine Publisher Send To Friends Add To Favorites Post A Comment Suggest Topic Report Author

The Samsung D780 has plenty to offer. Price wise it is at the affordable end of the market. It is stylish and compact and eminently usable mobile phone. It does however have one feature that appeals to the consumer, and that is its dual SIM feature. This coupled with the array of functions make this phone a viable option.

A 2 mega pixel camera is provided with the phone which takes excellent snap shots and is ideal for that purpose. The camera operates at 1600 x 1200 pixels. The alternative option of video capture is also provided and is a useful addition. Video seems to have grown to be the most popular means of taking images and this is reflected in the fact that it is offered on this handset.

The display screen on the phone is a 2.1 inch TFT display screen which offers excellent colour representation when displaying images. The screen displays 256,000 colours which means that images are portrayed with life like true colour. The phone offers several alert types which include ring alert and vibration. Hands free operation of the phone is available via the provided speaker phone. Navigation through the functions is by a 5 way button.

Entertainment is offered by virtue of the MP3/MP4 player and stereo FM radio. The player is able to play most audio and video file types, whilst the radio offers radio broadcasts from local and national radio stations. The phones internal memory capacity is 32 Mb but by utilising the microSD slot can be upgraded to 2 Gb if desired.

Connectivity with the handset is simple and effective. It comes with GPRS and EDGE connections as well as Blue tooth and USB. Additional extras included in the package are a document viewer, voice memo and a feature called mobile printing.

The Samsung D780 is a compact unit measuring 115 mm by 49 mm wide and only 15 mm thick. It is similar in many ways to the Samsung S5050, in ease of use and style. The handset is a well crafted unit that offers effective technology and features within a stylish and unassuming case.
