Drainage of Water

Effective and adequate drainage of contaminated or polluted water is a matter of basic importance in human life. Since it contains germs and viruses of various fatal diseases and abdominal ailments, its proper sewerage is usually ensured in developed welfare states of the World whereas in developing or underdeveloped countries, it is neglected either as a result of lack of proper education or due to shortage of funds. Being the smallest unit of society, each and every inhabitant of even the remotest vicinity is supposed to volunteer himself/ herself to oversee smooth flawless and unobstructed flow of water drained out from houses, factories and other places of work. Appropriately concreted and hidden water courses are required to be constructed for this purpose. Unbreakable PVC pipes are not a bad option.

It is usually observed that residents of a house or management of a factory are least pushed and do not give due weightage to this aspect of life. This, of course, is a dangerous trend. This lack of care on the part of the citizens usually results in the shape of gastroenteritis, cholera and other lethal epidemics.

If an individual takes all necessary measures for the drainage of his own house or factory but keeps his eyes shut over the inadequacy of his neighbor's sewerage system, the care taken by him is of little use. It is undoubtedly a collective obligation. When individual drains are appropriately directed to the main course of a particular locality, then starts the role of municipality officials which should certainly be result oriented. Level of such course is considered of prime importance. Any leakage or backfire of water may causes serious and unbecoming sanitary implications leakage or seepage of such water courses may contaminate underground water. Chemidised water of different factories and tanneries adds poisonous contents to the said water and the same no more remains drinkable. Evaporation of contaminated water pollutes the air which people of that area are bound to inhale and become victims of acute respiratory problems like asthma and tuberculosis which are almost lifelong ailments.
