Dr Rosenfeld on Sundays

Expert Author Ridgely Johnson

I don't need an age chart. Give me a lie detector and one question. Where & what were you doing Sunday morning? If your response is you attended church, then this becomes a 2-part question. What programs were you recording on your DVR?

This is a age breaker- I can guarantee you no 21 year old is sitting in his apartment drinking a cup of freshly ground, organically grown, coffee while watching Dr. Isadore Rosenfeld on Fox New's  Sunday Morning  Housecalls. When did I cross over the line?

For LT and I, Sunday morning means  Dr. Isadore Rosenfeld and Sunday Morning Housecalls.  Cannot give you an exact date of my rite of passage into his audience. Somehow, someway, I find myself there, sitting on the edge of  my sofa each week waiting to hear the latest update on Calcium supplements for women over 50.

Supplementing diet with Calcium Citrate sounds reasonable as calcium is leached out of our bodies as we age. This process increases with soda consumption. If you know me, you know about my Diet Coke consumption. My mother knows about my Diet Coke consumption. Everytime I see her, she gives me a bottle of  Calcium supplements. Anytime Dr. Rosenfeld talks about Calcium supplements, I purchase a bottle of Calcium supplements.

I store my Calcium Collection with my cookbooks- kind of in if you need them they are there position. Last count I had 6 bottles.

Imagine my surprise when last week Dr. Rosenfeld shared a recent Puerto Rican study which revealed women did not need to take additional Calcium. I found myself smirking, involuntarily nodding my head. Not to worry, Mom. I would not think of tossing my Calcium supplements. I would bet money in the next few weeks, my buddy, Dr. Rosenfeld will be revisiting the Calcium subject.

and...

Who said life in your 50's was boring?

I also enjoy letters/emails  from his viewers. One question, however, I have always had on this type of interaction. Are all questions answered? If Dr. Rosenfeld answers MY question, do they tell me- "hang on until 3 weeks from this Sunday & hear it live?" Or do they answer my question, advising me when Dr. R will be addressing me on national TV? Perhaps I will have to send Dr. R a question... something earth-shattering. Stand-by for updates on that front. In the interim, LT and I will enjoy watching Dr. Rosenfeld. on Sunday mornings and... I will continue to add to my collection of Calcium Citrate.
