One of the biggest problems that face information marketers online is that of finding products to sell. A lot of people take the easy way out, buying resale rights products or private label rights products, editing the sales pages and selling them as is. The major problem with this approach is that, as a seller, you now are marketing a product that hundreds or thousands of other marketers have downloaded and done the same thing with. I can't tell you how many duplicate products I have on my hard drive, but it is a lot of them. If you sell a duplicate product, your returns will be higher because people already have the information.
The only real way to go with information product sales is your own unique products. Creating your own product can be a scary prospect, and one reason that people take the easy way out. You may think that you have no ideas and no writing skills. You can end up with writers block and sit and stare at the computer screen for hours waiting for an idea to come to you. It doesn't have to be hard though, and after your first product the creation process gets much easier.
The easiest way to start out is to take a PLR product that deals with an area you are interested in and reworking it. Some people will tell you that a 50% rewrite is adequate, I disagree. Changing sentences, rewriting the ideas directly from the product still gives you basically the same product, with minor differences. It just isn't enough.
Take the same PLR product for example. Take a notepad, and as you read the report or article outline the main points, take general notes, and write from your notes NOT the original product. While you may have an end result product that covers the same IDEAS, it is fully written in your own words, from your own viewpoint, and is completely different from the original. You now have a unique product that you can market as your own. You can use this process to combine articles into a full report. You can do variations on a theme. The possibilities are endless.
Once you start creating products the ideas begin to come. I keep a recorder with me at all times - actually my MP3 player, and when an idea hits me I make a quick voice note and then put it on my "ideas" list on my computer. Currently I have 3 new products that I am at various stages of writing, creating graphics for, and setting up sales pages. I have an audio interview products that I am in negotiation on. And I still have a full list of products that I have yet to develop. Use your interests and skills as a jumping point, and I am sure the ideas will come to you.

Using an affiliate marketplace that provides instant payments you can easily sell more products than on a traditional program, since your affiliates have instant access to their payments to market quicker. However you market your products, having unique content is the key to success.
