Being productive is actually the quickest way to success with a home business. Laziness is your enemy. If you have ever started a home business then you must know that it can be really challenging at times. Most people that pursue home businesses already have full time jobs and families. Life can be hectic as it is just working a regular job and having a regular family life. Now when you try to throw a home business into the mix, you can really blow things out of proportion.

There are only 24 hours in a day and only so much that you can do with your time. Here are 5 suggestions on how to become more successful with a home business by leveraging your time:

1- Income Producing Activities: When you make time to build your business, concentrate on only income producing activities. Do only what will move yourself closer to your goal? If something doesn't move you forward, skip it. If it does, do it. This is what took the top earners to the top and keeps them there. If you have to generate website traffic and leads in order to make money, then keep doing these activities.

2- Shed all unnecessary activities: There are many things that do not help us that form our daily activities. Things like watching television or spending all of your spare time playing FarmVille. These activities may be fun and take the edge off at the end of a hectic day but they can consume a lot of our time. Most people start a home business in pursuit of more time and more money. Ironically most people will not dedicate their time by including building their businesses as a part of a daily routine. You can not work your job for 10 hours and only spend half an hour on building your business. Lose the unnecessary activities to make time to build your future.

3- Avoid Distractions: We are bombarded on a daily basis every single day by so many different things. Now the powers to be have thrown things like the BlackBerry into our busy lifestyles. If you really want success, turn off your cell phone and avoid all other distractions (unless they are an emergency) while building you future. Stop getting distracted from anything that doesn't move you closer to your goal.

4- Three to Four Hours per Day: Find three to four hour per day to focus on building your future. Yes this may be asking a lot but don't you really want to become successful? Or do you want to stay with your job and current lifestyle for ever? Allocating this time to do your business building for four hours per day is going to move you ahead with part time effort. It is a choice that you are going to have to make and make it daily.

5- Hard Work: Yes all of this stuff that I am asking you above is hard work. Yes you will have to make sacrifices but hey, it's just part of life. Most people think that professional marketers have taken short cuts to get them to where they are. It is not like that at all. Anyone that succeeds in this industry did it with hard work. There are no short cuts in life and business. If you make the commitment to yourself to do what is necessary (without hurting yourself or family), your results will be no less than life changing.
