Does Your Website Lack These Elements?

Go through this check list and if your website lacks these elements then it is heavily recommended to get the required changes NOW.

About us
70% of all websites commit this mistake of talking about themselves in the landing page. Basically it starts with sentences like "We are a....offering best services in... and so on", I clearly understand the importance of this information, but there is a specific way and place to convey this. To better understand the reason behind this: imagine you are a customer and looking for an interior designer to set up your new office, you start searching online for a vendor and in the process come across 3 suitable vendors, the information on these sites started with:

First site
Our cheapest interior designing service will get the richest look to your office. We are..

Second site
With over 8 years of experience we offer the best interior designing services to home and offices. Our services include office modeling, interior designing, cabin designs etc....

Third site
Looking to bring that plush, professional look to your office? Then, check these mind blowing, space saving office designs and also know some very important Dos and Don'ts of interior designing. 80% of our visitors made instant changes to way their offices looked after reading this..

Now on which of these sites will you spend your valuable time. Of course the third one, the reason; it exclusively talks about the benefits that a customer is about to receive if he spend time reading the information. That's it, the objective of our landing page is done, it makes the prospect stick on to us until he fully gauges the benefits of buying from us.

Even though you are huge in your area of business and people recognize your brand, talk about yourselves later and put the customer benefits first, together they will pack a winning combination.

Most visible part
So the objective here is to give maximum space and visibility to the emotional benefits that your product or service offers to your prospects, this is the single most important point to remember when creating your landing pages. So if your landing page doesn't have this proposition right, correct it now. So divide your page space into; for customers, for your service information and for other activities like customer support, interaction modules etc.

Crowding with multiple products and services
Most commit this mistake of offering multiple solutions to your prospects. You talk about option A, option B, option C and so on. This kind of offers only pretend to give the prospect a wide variety of choice, but in reality they leave them confused and make them disabled to take a decision, in the process push it for later consideration. Hope you understood the implications.

Now if you have multiple products or service then it's recommended that you maintain separate sites for each product so that every product gets the maximum visibility and will ultimately turn profitable

Interactiveness
Success can be directly proportionate to the level of interaction and support your site offers to your visitors on the spot. There two things to consider:

1.Your site should try to get maximum inputs from your visitors in the easiest possible way. This will give you more inputs about your ideal prospect, his purchasing patterns, likes and dislikes and so on. To achieve this you can include challenging quizzes, survey sheets, feedback modules etc. This will get them spend more time with you and in the process appreciate your brand and services.

2.Immediate support should be offered to your visitor if he needs one. Most visitors look for additional information and want to talk to a human directly or chat with them to get instant and additional information. This is where most sites fail in providing a 24x7 chat service or phone support

Get them committed, if they wish to
If a prospect spends maximum time with you, it implies that he has got some interest going in your favor, now this is the right time to make a sale and if your site doesn't have an immediate sales process that your visitor can use, then more likely he will return assuming to get back to you directly, which may never happen. Did your realize that you lost a sale, you had everything going your way and as you did not offer an action to buy or commit for a sale you simply lost business. This is the worst that could happen to your business. So go for a shopping cart or just an online payment support right now.

Credibility
It's one of the most important elements to succeed. There are two aspects of credibility that you need to show in your site

1.Your site should visually look more credible in design and presentation. You can achieve this by adding respective company logos of your clients, quality certifications if you have any, awards that you may have won and so on

2.Second, you must and should add genuine testimonials and feedback from your customers on your products and service. Most sites make this mistake of putting well written fake feedback or no testimonials at all, remember your customer is smarter than you think and he can easily identify fakes, similarly he would definitely appreciate genuine customer feedback

Final word
So get these changes NOW if you still lack them.
