Bowling is a lot of fun for the entire family. It can be more fun when you learn how to bowl properly. By following steps that many of the greatest bowlers use, you can become very successful at bowling and have fun with it at the same time. Learning how to bowl will make the entire game more enjoyable for you...and more successful as well!

Get Equipment
First, find a bowling ball that is the right size for your hand and not too heavy, nor too light. You want to use your own ball because you will get used to it, something that is not possible if you rent one at the alley. You should also buy your own bowling shoes so that you can get as comfortable as possible in them.

Stand Properly
A big part of the process to learn how to bowl is standing properly. Do the following to get your stance right:

1. Keep your legs slightly apart.

2. Bend your knees

3. Tilt slightly backward

4. Let the arm holding the ball fall down to your side.

5. Keep your thumb on the ball at the 10:00 position (right handed), or the 2:00 position (left handed).

The Delivery
You can't be a good bowler if you can't deliver the ball. This is important if you want to learn how to bowl properly. Follow these steps:

1. Swing your arm back smoothly and forward again to release the ball as you move forward and bend down.

2. Keep your eye on the target as the ball moves towards it.
