If you are running a business then if you don't have a website or web presence you will not exist in 5 years. I know you have a yellow pages ad, have you noticed the yellow pages book is getting smaller and costing you more. People are trying to find a dentist, plumber, someone to give them a manicure and in some case a friend and all on the internet many of these also are using there smart phone to check their twitter Facebook and weather before they get out of bed.
If you are a business they are also checking your competitor's prices and services while standing in your store.
For business a simple site with opening hours contact details and something about your business could be enough, at least it is something.
Of course you could go all out and have a couple of pages. Remember businesses are about networking it is not about what you know but who you know the more connections you make the better add on your Facebook, twitter and linked in and you are connecting to half the world.
Passing out a business card without a WWW on it is incomplete. Like it or not people will do research about your business looking for comments on your quality of service or the experience people have had with your business a website is the way to give them what they are looking for.

It is also fun to do. You may as well get on and do it now because it is becoming a must have along with having all the latest tech stuff.
