Are you a painfully slow loser of fat? Does weight come off of you in a trickle while people around you seem to lose a steady few pounds each week? Well, don't despair you do have a metabolism and you can make it a faster metabolism so you can lose pounds at a time just like your friends. If you can spare just a couple of minutes to read this article I will share how you can boost the speed your body burns fat.

Faster Metabolism

1. Drink a glass of water immediately upon waking. You want to jump start your metabolism in the morning and the best way is to shake off the dehydration that naturally occurs overnight. When your body is dehydrated your metabolism slows so speed it up with 8 ounces in the morning.

2. Eat hard to digest foods. Different foods have different thermic values. If a food has a high thermic value it takes more energy to break down which is a boost to your metabolic rate. Eat foods like protein, whole fruits and vegetables at your meals and give your metabolism a boost throughout the day.

3. Avoid refined carbohydrates. These foods breakdown almost immediately in your body to sugar which get sent to your blood. When there is too much sugar in your blood your body turns up fat making to clear it out and shuts down your fat burning metabolism to help even more.

4. Exercise with weights. You want muscle on your body. Every muscle cell is 8 times as metabolically active as a fat cell. In plain English this means your with more muscle you burn more calories even at rest.
