When you are on the threshold of change, you need to understand the pace of your own energy. You need to ensure that you are not rushing your way to an energy crisis as you boldly leap into your change. Subtle, energy-wise pacing sets the tone for everything you do and, when in sync, you will feel able to skip, fly and burst your way through challenges as your natural resilience will provide you with the stamina to succeed. However, if your pacing is off, your stamina will be obliterated and you will fail to have the necessary physical, emotional and mental energy to take you through the change.
You maybe wondering what I mean be energy. This is your life force, your vitality. It is that unseen force which sustains your physical body and motivates you to move into action. We are all familiar with our physical energy, we are taught from a young age that good health signifies a stronger life force, however physical energy alone can't deliver all of the energetic charge needed for you to live a fulfilling life. Your essential well-being has as much to do with your emotional, mental and spiritual energetic health as it does your physical habits. For example, diet and exercise play a large part in the amount of energy you have available in any one day but it is the other aspects of energetic health like how you feel emotionally, and your sense of purpose and community, which motivates you to get out of bed in a morning.
For most of us life is becoming increasingly stressful, We need to build our individual energy reserves so that we have access to our own reservoir of energy in times when we need it most. We are all more aware of our physical energy. Check in with your energy throughout the day. Ask yourself how you feel physically. Your body never lies, you will know if you need to re-energize.If you can balance your energy between activities that energize you and those that drain you, then you ensure you have the energy you need to leap into your change. To navigate the landscape of change successfully takes energy. Some things (and people!) energize you and some things drain your energy. When entering into transition you can feel as though you are standing on shifting sands which alone can disrupt your energy so it can be useful to be more aware of getting your energy into balance.
To check in with your energy you need to first get out of your head and check into your body. Here are some big picture ideas for you to check out physically.
When you are in sync, you will experience:
- Emotional balance
- Physical resilience
- Patience
- Excitement
- Passion
When you are out of sync, you will experience:
- Fatigue
- Emotional numbness
- Irritability and mood swings
- Psychosomatic symptoms or other low grade illnesses
In order to re-align with your natural energy rhythm - ask yourself - what kind of change would feel good? Focus on small, do-able chunks, not an instant overhaul. Ask yourself whether slowing your pace would improve your energy? Do you need to take some time out? Try to focus your energy on one thing at a time. Explore how that feels. Then build on it. See if your well-being improves. Energy never lies. If you work at the right rhythm, you will be more productive and change will come easily.
When you can learn how to tap into the flow of your own intuitive energy, you can effortlessly unlock the door to your success. Be good to yourself, change is always challenging. Accelerate into your transition with ease. Stop the struggle of swimming upstream. Don't fight your changes - flow!
