Do You Have a Good Relationship With Your Coworkers?
Print This Article Ezine Publisher Send To Friends Add To Favorites Post A Comment Suggest Topic Report Author

Coworkers are a part of your everyday work life and if you are not on a friendly basis with them, why not? I mean, after all, you are with them a third of your day or more 5 days a week, right? So, talk to them and learn about there like and dislikes. Learn about there family and what they like to do, if anything, in there free time.

Are they couch potatoes? Do they golf, play ball, jog, run or go bar hopping? Maybe they are a family person and only want to spend time with there family. All of these are totally fine because these actions are what make this person unique to not only themselves but also to you as well.

You will get to know people by there habits and how they will react to certain things throughout the work day. You may be thinking this is totally useless information for you to obtain. I personally, have used this type of information to my benefit a few times. Here is what you do.

You keep track of there likes and dislikes and also of birthdays and any anniversaries as well and make sure to have the name of there significant other as well. When these special days come up you then buy them a little something to let them know you remembered or just give them best wishes to let them know that you remembered.

Then, when your coworker gets a promotion before you, and you know that will happen most times, they will think of you when they are in a position of authority. For example, say your coworker got promoted to manager and of course you did not. Who do you think that coworker is going to be extra nice too now that they are your manager? Who do you think will get time off when requested all of the time?

If it comes to hopefully getting a promotion who do you think they will pick? I will lay odds it will be you because you are the only one who remembers all of these important times in there life. Little things can lead to big things my friend.
