We all know that children like to act out, and they often do so at the very worst time to get attention. Sometimes parents that have very mild-mannered children, and they will start to act out whenever someone comes over to their home, or when they are out in public and the parents would really like to children to be on their best behavior.
Almost like Murphy's Law, the children will be on their very worst behavior, but why do they do this?
Not long ago a Starbucks employee told me that it was "Negative Attention Seeking Disorder," and they said they have seen every type of behavior from a child, stuff you wouldn't believe inside the lobby of the local Starbucks. I laughed at first when I heard this, and asked if it was okay if I use this term in an article; and they agreed to relinquish this term to me. But let me tell you what happened next.
Do you know those little crumb cakes that they sell at Starbucks, the kind that you have to eat especially carefully because every time you take a bite it crumbles all over the place? Well, there I was at Starbucks and a mom had just bought three of their kids each one of those crumb cakes. You can guess what happened, and it was unbelievable to watch.
I doubt if any of those kids got more than a mouthful of the crumb cake, as the rest of it was on the floor. You see, they decided to have a little food fight, as the mom was scolding one of the children the other two were throwing food at each other, and as she scolded each one of them the other two joined in. The mess they made was absolutely incredible.
Sometimes when I go to Internet forums online, or I listen to the discussions and dialogues on blogs and social networks it reminds me quite a bit of those three children and their mother. Kids are not the only one who have Negative Attention Seeking Disorder, just go online, and see for yourself. Please consider all this.
