Do Have Anxiety Symptoms?

Anxiety refers to a rather complex state of mind. This psychological and physiological condition is identified through a series of cognitive and behavioral patterns or components. Together they can combine to leave a person feeling uneasy, fearful, worrisome and apprehensive. How this is different from fear is that there is no identifiable triggering stimulus. Fear happens when there is observed threat.

Anxiety happens when there is no obvious sign of a threat. Certain definitions say that the condition is a 'future oriented mood state'. The condition may be found in varying conditions in various people. We all do feel anxious every now and then. However it takes a whole new life when it tends to rule us and dictate our decisions based on fears and worries that are seemingly or are in fact non-existent.

Let us now look at the various anxiety symptoms that will help identify a patient and thereby enable them to seek remedy or suitable treatment. Unfortunately though there are hundreds of anxiety symptoms that at times make it impossible to tell if a person is suffering from the condition. This is most true in borderline cases. These various anxiety symptoms can show up physically, as in the way one looks, acts and behaves or mentally and subconsciously.

In most cases there might be a sense of dizziness brought on by the fact that the person believes a pending or future scenario might not be best handled or dealt with. As the perceived time approaches, a patient may feel nausea or dizzy and feel as if he or she is about to keel over or faint. A somewhat opposite reaction which is also an anxiety symptom is not one of weakness but of enhanced strength and energy.

Certain people might as a result be very alert, bouncy and full of life with an inability to relax. These conditions can cause other side effects such as increased heart rates.

Other anxiety symptoms could include feelings of numbness, or even pain in areas such as the neck and back. Persistent muscle tension and stiffness in muscles and joints can all be indicative of anxiety symptoms. With such a long list of symptoms, anxiety becomes a condition that is hard to gauge, understand or treat. But because it can have serious consequences on a person's life and quality of living, the evidence of anxiety symptoms should cause a person to seek medical or expert advice on the matter.

Also, do not forget the condition can affect just about anyone regardless of gender, age or background and as such one must be watchful of anxiety symptoms in pretty much everyone.
