Do Diet Pills Work to Get Slim Fast? Or Is It Better to Eat the Best Food to Lose Weight?

Research seems to suggest not. Scientists in Sweden recently tested many of the popular diet supplements. Do diet pills work? Put yourself to the test without diet pills

Many diet pills are recommended to be taken in association with a low fat diet and exercise. This means it is difficult to attribute the results to the diet pills. Initially you may get slim fast but this is not going to be sustainable weight loss. If you eat a low fat diet and exercise you should lose weight anyway. Diet pills are only temporary - life style changes are forever - so why not try the life style changes first, before resulting to pills?

Spend your money wisely

Pills are expensive, people are paying upwards of $100 per month to take pills. Try spending that money on buying better quality foods, such as organic produce and whole foods, fresh fruit and vegetable and foods with quality ingredients. Or buy a good juicer to make your own healthy juices and drinks. You need to make a habit of eating the best foods to lose weight and that means eating quality foods, as well as cutting out some of the high calorie, high fat foods in your diet.

Deal with hunger pangs by cutting out the junk

For many people hunger pangs that are difficult to control. In my personal experience, I have found the more I eat healthy, whole, organic foods with minimum additives, or better still no additives, the less I get hunger pangs. I find that hunger pangs are caused by eating fast foods that have all kinds of junk added. This includes sauces, salad dressings and additives to bakery products and pastas, as well as the more obvious Es and sugars that are in snacks, ready-made and packaged meals. They create an imbalance which makes you crave more food or even worse, something sweet soon after you have eaten. You end up in a vicious circle. Cut out the junk and you will be surprised how your hunger pangs disappear.

If you feel weak when dieting, try building your strength

What is interesting is that both feelings of weakness and hunger are reduced if you exercise more. Taking moderate exercise, even if you are on a juice only diet, will help to make you feel stronger. Plus you can eat a bit more if you are burning off the calories by exercising, but a word of warning here, don't let regular exercise become an excuse for eating more.

Reap the benefits of regular exercise

Exercise alone is not going to make you get slim fast but it has all kinds of subtle, health benefits. Besides making you stronger, shapelier and helping you to lose weight, exercise has a crucial part to play in maintaining muscle mass and bone density. If you diet without exercise, you tend to lose a higher proportion of your lean muscle mass. If you later gain weight back, you will gain fat, which means you end up messing up your muscle to fat ratio. If on the other hand you exercise, the fat will be replaced with muscle mass so you will be less likely to rebuild fat. You may even find you gain weight but this could be due to increased bone density. So don't judge yourself just on weight loss alone, use a tape measure to check your size, you might be pleasantly surprised.

Even if you are convinced that lose weight diet pills have helped you to get slim fast, I hope I have been able to persuade you that there are other, better methods to achieve and maintain your optimum weight. Most important of all, if you get into the habit of exercising and eating the best food to lose weight, you will be amazed at how good it makes you look and feel. You will no longer need to get slim fast because you will stay slim.
