Pre Nuptial Agreements are often a misunderstood as are the reasons why people have them a lot of the time. Common reasons for a couple arranging a pre nup can be that one partner earns more than the other. If couples are remarrying the circumstances can often be very different from the first marriage. The couple may have children, and own a home along with other valuable assets. A Pre Nuptial Agreement can ensure that in the event of death that your assets and possessions are fairly distributed by will writing Hampshire to your first family and new family. Finances are the often the primary concern, as if you are much poorer than your partner you may want to ensure that you will be financially secure in the event of a divorce. If you are on the other end of the scale and you earn much more than your partner then protecting your wealth will be important so you don't end up taking on your partners debt too.

Pre- nuptial agreements have recently been a subject to many high profile cases recently such as Paul McCartney and John Cleese have recently had to pay out a large amount of their wealth. It's common that this is overlooked and not signing any kind of legal agreement can cost high net worth individuals millions of pounds.

Divorce Lawyer Hampshire say that people embarking on their second marriage should always consider a pre-nuptial agreement and its often emotional factors that make this seem less of a priority at the time. However like everything prepare for the best and expect the worst.

As an example Alice Faye Eichelberger will receive a total of Twelve and a Half Million Pounds. This is paid in installments for Mr Clease who will be paying out £612,000 per month and eight million up front. John Cleese will keep with an estimated Ten Million pounds which will unfortunately make him less well off than his esteemed ex-wife.

Other countries take a different view to Pre Nuptial Agreements such as in the U.S where it is legally binding with marriage.

Alice was working in the medical profession at the time of divorce and lived in a council flat when the two met. Her new houses are situated in Kensington and an apartment at the Carlyle Hotel in New York under the divorce. This new residence will make her the envy of many of divorcee.

In the UK where Pre-Nuptial Agreements are non legally binding, it seems the best solution for both parties in this situation is to take independent advice before committing to marriage and entering into formal contracts.
