A few weeks ago the television show Saturday Night Light criticized President Obama by doing an opening skit where a comedian impersonating President Obama mocks him by saying that he has been indecisive and accomplished absolutely nothing. Former Vice-President Dick Cheney must have been watching that night because his most recent criticism of the Obama Administration was about the president's dithering in Afghanistan. Mr. Cheney stated in a recent speech that the president was being indecisive and therefore endangering United States soldiers' lives in Afghanistan. He continued his criticism stating that allies to the United States were losing faith in our country because they are uncertain of the United States' direction in Afghanistan and other areas of the world.
Dick Cheney's criticism of the current administration is not new, especially when it comes to foreign policy, but this is the first time he has criticized the president's strategy in Afghanistan. The former vice president has not notably criticized any domestic policies, like the president's attempt to overhaul our trouble system of healthcare. Most likely the people working in Bourbonnais Illinois healthcare are more interested in Mr. Cheney's thoughts regarding this domestic concern then his thoughts on foreign policy.
Healthcare reform and the nation's economy seem to be the number one things on the average citizen's mind, but Mr. Cheney is not an average citizen; he does not have to worry about being an out of state resident looking for care from a Bourbonnais Illinois hospital. Thus, the former vice-president has the time to analyze the way things are preceding in Afghanistan.
Twisted into this recent speech by Dick Cheney is the call from Pakistan's former president, Pervez Musharraf, for more United States troops into Afghanistan. Mr. Musharraf's thoughts seem to be in line with what Mr. Cheney is requesting. They both want President Obama to not only flex United States muscles but to aggressively use that muscle. Those working in Braidwood healthcare respectfully hope that if more troops are committed by the United States to Afghanistan that those troops are able to defend the citizens of Afghanistan while remaining safe.

The people working for Riverside Medical Center care a great deal for the safety of all Untied States citizens and the troops who defend us. We hope that our troops are able to finish the job they have been sent to do and be able to return home soon. We will continue to offer top notch medical care to those who our soldiers are defending.
