For the average person, it is best to stay out of trouble but, for a hip hop star, a bit of controversy can be an excellent promotional tool. Rapper Jadakiss, of the group The LOX, has had his share of controversies but his fans remain loyal. This is, in part, because he continues to provide them with amazing new music through the many Jadakiss mixtapes.
There are some major names in the hip hop game that nobody wants to go up against, but Jadakiss is not afraid of any of them. When LOX split from Bad Boy Records, he found himself in the middle of a heated feud with hip hop king P. Diddy. He was also caught in the middle of a dispute between hip hop stars Ja Rule and 50 Cent.
The controversy that Jadakiss is perhaps best known for centers around his song Why, which took shots at President Bush and blamed him for the terrorist attacks of September 11th. Political commentator Bill O'Reilly publicly stated his opinion that President Bush should sue Jadakiss for slander. As a result, many radio stations banned the song or censored the questionable lyrics.
Throughout all of his public issues, Jadakiss has had a slew of fans that have remained loyal. This is mostly because they cannot get enough of the tracks on his many mixtapes. His controversies have not scared away fellow hip hop stars either, and his mixtapes have included collaborations with such names as Mariah Carrey, T.I. and Mary J. Blige.
Jadakiss mixtapes prove that a great artist will be able to maintain fans, no matter what else happens in their career. He has released a number of incredibly successful mixtapes that have featured cameos from some of the biggest names in the game. Whatever trouble he finds to get into, his fans will always stand by him as long as he continues to crank out amazing music.
