Depression - Healing Through Physical Exercises!

Studies have shown that regular physical exercises can improve the mood for people who are non-depressed and, the most important of all, they can also do some great things for people who are depressed: it has been proven that physical exercises facilitate the recovery of the patients.

Doctors say that, if you are thinking about making some exercises in order to improve your mood, you should think about a combination of: weight- lifting with aerobic exercises - such as jogging or walking, and with some stretching exercises.

Studies have also shown that exercises help depressed people, because they make them:

*concentrate much better!

*have a better sleep;

*be more interested in sex;

*enjoy life a lot more;

*be more optimistic;

*they have much more energy;

*they are not so irritable anymore;they are much more active than usual.

Depression usually does not allow people to be disciplined and persistent. They just cannot stick with things. This is why these exercises area great for them: they have a schedule, they have to do certain exercises and these things make them become more organised, disciplined and they make them develop their will.

Depressed people are always isolated, they spend a lot of time alone, and this makes their negative mood persist for a long time This is why psychologist say that they should do these exercises in a gym, in order to be in contact with as many people as possible. Even if some of them do not speak with anyone, the fact that they are around other people will help them and will make them feel much better.
