Decorative Bird Cage - Some Even Look Like the Taj Mahal
Print This Article Ezine Publisher Send To Friends Add To Favorites Post A Comment Suggest Topic Report Author

This type of decorative bird cage makes a truly wonderful addition to your home decor. They can give just that individual touch that people will remember when they have visited your home.

Some of them are specifically designed for use at weddings, perhaps some to house a couple of doves for a short while ready to release at a wedding, some to hold wedding cards, and some to use as centrepieces on tables.

They are usually painted white or are made from metal and made to look antique. The white ones look beautiful, you would think you were looking at some intricate architecture.

You will find this type of bird cage designed to look like eastern architecture, a sort of Taj Mahal look, and some look quite venetian, some look distinctly Victorian. Some have the look of a church or a conservatory and I have even seen one that looked like a carousel plus one aimed at humor with a cat on top and a mouse inside

Whatever you use these decorative bird cages for, either wedding decoration, for flowers or plants, you must never use them to house a bird.

It's not the space inside of them, and it's not even the lack of perches and feeding bowls etc. it is the paint used on them.

If it was manufactured purely for decoration there would have been no need to make sure the paint was non-toxic and this being the case if a bird was put in the cage and it pecked and flaked the paint off it could well make the bird ill if it ingested any of the particles.

There are so many beautiful cages made specifically to be the home for real birds there is no need at all to try to use one made only for decorative purposes.

If you wanted to see a bird inside of it then get a model bird. That too could look just as nice as a decoration and think of it, you wouldn't have to clean it out, wouldn't have to keep filling food and water containers.

You could have the pleasure of seeing a bird without all the attendant chores associated with a live bird.
