2. How many pounds do I want to lose?
3. How many weeks or months will I allow to lose the unwanted pounds?
4. Am I discipline enough to do a diet plan?
5. Do I need professional help or can I do this on my own by modifying my eating habits?

The information in this article is not from a professional weight loss center or program or from a licensed Dietician, but from an average, everyday run of the mill housewife, so to speak, who has maintained her weight of 115 pounds for the last 25 years or more even after having a baby. Is there a secret to staying small? No, not really, if it is then I do not know about it; but I can tell you what I do from day to day which helps to keep the extra pounds off. Is not gaining weight and staying small the same thing? Of course not. A person can weigh 350 pounds and stay at that same weight for years, so staying the same weight is not the real problem, but rather putting on additional pounds is the problem for most people, because most people continue to put on more weight with little effort. So the solution to your weight issue is learning how to train your body to burn additional fat calories and not to hold onto extra pounds. It is just common sense, that if you are overweight, then most likely you over eat. The same way that you gained the extra pounds will have to be the same way you lose those extra pounds and this will be done by eating. Yes eating, probably even more than you usually eat. The only difference is not so much what you eat, but how much and when you eat it. If your mind is open to a new way of looking at things then you are a good candidate for a simple eating modification plan. It is absolutely possible for you to lose weight by simply adjusting your eating habits and schedule. Why pay out hundreds of dollars just to have someone called a weight loss coach to tell you what to eat, where to eat, when to eat, and why to eat, when you can do that yourself.
Common sense, if you can answer the 5 W's of weight loss and apply them you will be successful!
Brain Power is the key. Permanent weight loss starts in the mind. Settle the issue in your mind first and stay focused on your weight loss goals. All successful ventures start as a mere thought in the mind and setting out to shed those unwanted pounds is definitely a venture. This may sound ridiculous, but the more you think it in your mind, the more weight you can lose. Deceivable diet plans and programs lure people in with misleading advertisements and false hopes, only in the end to realize that the results shown in the ads were not typical at all, but most people fail to notice that this is stated in the tiny print usually at the bottom of the screen or page. With so many people desperate to lose weight, it is easy for just about any deceivable diet plan to sound hopeful.
The frustration of being overweight creates low self esteem and an apathetic attitude. In reality, diets actually create more problems than solutions because a diet is not a realistic approach to keeping weight off but only a temporal solution. There are numerous diet programs available that can work, but the catch is you have to stay on them practically forever and for most working moms and dads, single moms and dads etc. this is just not possible or even realistic. When participating in a diet program or plan, you face problems in your daily routine like eating out and worrying about if restaurants, fast food places, and other eating establishments offer low calorie, low carb, and low fat items on the menu, and most eating places claim to offer healthy items but this is just so that they will not lose money and will be able to compete with other restaurants who make the same false claims. Just think about it, how many people do you know who have lost a significant amount of weight by eating out. When getting on a diet program, your body is forced to eat a certain way for a certain period of time, and when you complete the diet plan your body goes back to its original state of craving fats, sweets, breads, and everything else that you deprived it of while in the program.
So, if most all diet plans are indeed deceivable, then what is the answer to losing weight? Again, the answer lies within you. Stop, listen, and pay attention to your body! Your body is smarter than you think. It was designed to run off specific foods and liquids which will help it to function and stay healthy for many years. If you start to give your body exactly what it needs most of the time, it will give you what you need all of the time...sounds silly or sounds like common sense. Your body is going to react to whatever you put into it; if you put healthy foods into it, it will be healthy, if you put junk food into it, it will be unhealthy.
You do not have to worry about counting calories or searching for low fat foods, just eat sensible servings of whatever you like and your body can properly process the food like it should. Some foods were not made to be consumed by the human body and if you listen to your body it will let you know what those foods are. You can also learn about these foods with just a little research or by reading the book of Leviticus in the King James Bible. Know this, your body needs water, vegetables, fruits, and some meat if you so desire. Stay away from too much fat, grease, too many sweets, and pork. Sorry, but pork is a killer of the human body. Keeping it simple has definitely worked for me and this is what I eat basically everyday, and I have been able to maintain my weight of 115 pounds for over 25 years and if you modify your eating habits to do the same, you will soon start to see a change in your body and in the way you feel. Eating out does not have to be difficult either, just order a child's serving if you feel the food is very unhealthy. Most people think that they have to get totally full every time they sit at a table to eat.
Common sense, this is the number one eating habit you need to and must modify from the beginning.
In closing, I want you to know that you can be successful and lose those extra unwanted pounds on your own. Do not get confused with a lot if diet hype, just keep it simple and listen to your body. Try to modify your eating habits starting today. Learn more ways to work with your body and not against it on the health and fitness page as http://www.allthingsforyou.webs.com
