Day 21 of Your Transformation From Professional to Network Marketer

The prequel to this article was one I wrote about starting your online business and how you need to start off slow. After finishing the one or two tasks you had extra time and how would it hurt if you start a few more tasks. That was just the prelude to the real work: Taking care of the leads that are now starting to come in. The routine tasks for marketing and the need to talk to your leads increase the stress on you until you feel completely overwhelmed. It takes about three weeks for everything to peak. You are human with human weakness. So stop what you are doing and look at the results you are getting. Three things you need to do right now: find out what is working for you (getting leads), delegate all the tasks you can and eliminate all non-money related task.
Since you can't do all of it by yourself you need to concentrate on those aspects of your marketing plan that is working. You did not take my advice in earlier articles and stick to one or two marketing strategies. Being a professional you of course can do more than two campaigns. You discovered that marketing takes time to reach it top speed and surpass your expectations. You could have used the extra time for training that now can be used to develop relationships with your team and leads. You are not making calls because you have taken all your free time in marketing activities. That is the single most important task you can do to go your business. You have been tracking you marketing numbers so you can quick tell which strategy is working and which is not. You want to work on the top two campaigns. Now don't just drop the other strategies you were doing. This is where you can delegate those tasks to a personal or virtual assistant.
Delegating to others in your previous life was the life blood of your firm. Delegating will be your most used skill in your business. You do not want to do it all yourself. Time to look into hiring a PA, Personal Assistant or a VA, Virtual Assistant. A VA may be a new term for you. A virtual Assistant (VA) is someone located anywhere in the world doing tasks for more than one person that only requires a phone connection. Jot down all the steps in your task and then give it to the PA or VA. I prefer the VA because firing someone if the work load lightens up is very difficult as I found out when I had to reduce my architectural staff. Be very clear on your steps, objectives and the results you expect with the PA or VA. This will help you open up another front on your marketing battle. One more distraction from your schedule has been eliminated.
Distractions are everyplace and sometimes you do not even realize what they are; they disguise themselves as everyday tasks. We will call a distraction is anything that keeps you from time you have scheduled for your call back for your leads. All the marketing budget you have spent has been to acquire the leads. If you want to expand your business, you need to start building your relationship with future team members. It is easy to say to yourself that you need to finish your marketing and not make the calls. Yes, you need to do marketing to get leads but not so much that you can't call them or get in touch with them. The previous two paragraphs talked about how to identify good marketing and delegate the rest. You primary goal is to grow your downline and only you care most about that part of the business.
So when you find yourself in overwhelm, stop and assess your marketing plan and results, delegate everything that takes your time from making calls and eliminate all other distraction over marketing, emails, phone calls. List the important and critical task so you can Time block your day. Doing all these things will help you make more money.
