Is it just me, or is television starting to get really silly? Have you seen that show dancing with the stars, where regular people get to dance with superstar dancers, and celebrities? I'm not sure about you, but next to an incredible dancer like some of the folks on that show who are in the business, and are professionals, I'd look pretty stupid. And, I certainly wouldn't want anybody to see me dancing with that group of people which would show me up and make me look bad.
In other words, I'd rather dance on Mars for the Martians with nobody around to see my missteps, or to judge me for making a mistake. Even though, I am a white guy, and you already know I have no rhythm, I am a decent dancer, but next to those folks, the stars, it's really no contest. I know it, they know it, and if I was ever on that television show, everybody in the whole United States watching a TV program would know what too.
Perhaps, it is all this new fangled reality TV contest type shows, or the new American Idol format that has everyone watching "Dancing with Stars" but still, I really don't want to watch people embarrass themselves on TV, that doesn't make me feel any better, and it doesn't make me feel special. Rather, I feel empathy for all those folks that would get on TV and dance with these stars and look so silly. May I ask you a personal question; why on earth do you watch that show anyway?
"Hello, Is Anyone Home?"
The other day, I went over to a neighbor's house to say "hi" and they wouldn't come to the door they just yelled, "Come on in!" So, I did and they were watching "Dancing with the Stars," and I started laughing, and they told me "Come on in and check this out." And I sat there and watched it for about five minutes, and duly excused myself and went back home. As far as I'm concerned that show is so silly, I had to write this article and laugh at you too; because I know you're watching it, don't lie!
