Current Trends in Online Business

Whenever a surfer clicks onto the internet, he/she will invariably be bombarded with countless advertising banners. Most of these banners are in one way or another propagating the viewer to click on them to gain benefits in the form of new products, offers, trials and even cash.

Upon clicking on most of these advertisements, the viewer will be taken to a new page requiring them to either join the site for free so that they can benefit as a member or try one of their free offers for a limited period. In the case of these sites, there is not much risk on the part of the viewer as joining is free. The worst that could happen is that the viewer will indefinitely start receiving MORE emails from traffic exchanges and autoresponders. Which they can block when it happens. No problem.

There are cases where thousands of websites are promising huge potential income for a joining fee of between $10 to $200 and usually only giving marketing tips and contents (video and audio) for the signup fee. This material to a purchaser not well versed in the cyber world is IRRELEVANT. They will not be able to make heads or tails of the so called MARKETING SECRET they just purchased.

These websites are broken down into 3 categories:
1. Internet marketing programs (IMP)
2. Paid Survey Sites (PSS)
3. Work From Home Business (WFHB)

The IMPs are broken down into 2 categories:
1. Selling Secrets (usually require viewer to purchase their "secrets" for a fee between $30 to $70)
2. Traffic Building by offering a FREE product (usually free to subscribe)

The PSSs are broken down into 2 categories:
1. Free signup (requires the viewer to fill in all personal details only)
2. Joining Fee (usually between $5 to $200, one time fee)

The WFHBs are broken down into 2 categories:
1. Free signup (requires the viewer to fill in all personal details only)
2. Joining Fee (usually between $2 to $20, one time fee and yearly fee)

For an internet "newbie" there is no safeguard against most of the sites mentioned above. What recourse can a viewer/purchaser take after falling "PREY" to these immoral sites.
