Cure the Spread of Dog Poop

Expert Author LeAnna Benn

Are you aware of the fact that some movies, music, languages and school subjects are contaminated with a little bit of dog poop?

A mom got really upset to her children after she had discussed to them how important it is to veer away from explicit movies and songs.
One night, her son arrived home after hanging out and watching a movie from a friend's house. He then said to the mom, "Oh mom, it was a good movie, it only had a little bit of nudity and a couple of swear words." The mom once again got upset and explained her stand once more but it seems that her son doesn't hear her as he leaves the conversation. After that, her daughter came and said, "A little doesn't really hurt. Why be so judgmental?"

The following day, the mom prepared a good dinner for the family. She baked some brownies as part of the delicious meal. The whole family was excited about it until the mom said, "I baked the brownie just for you kids. I don't think you will mind, there is just a little bit of dog poop in them. It's not enough to notice. It didn't even change the texture or color."
How many brownies do you think were eaten?
Maybe she wants to imply that it is the same as having explicit movies and songs.

This principle is very much applicable to everyday situations. This can also be a good basis for Sex Ed which is being taught at schools. Is a little bit of dog poop necessary just to effectively relay the message?

Action Step

1. Make your teen remember the dog poop story the next time they plan to watch explicit movies or listen to songs of such kind.

2. Ask them, "How much dog poop is too much for your next batch of brownies?" It's really disgusting to eat such kind of food but what about the mind and spirit which also consumes the disgust type of dog poop? How much will you allow them to consume before they got sick in mind and in spirit?
