Not every Christian knows this, but when Jesus died, he got rid of the old laws in the book of Leviticus. Christians were no longer required to follow these laws, even though the Old Testament is still attached to the New Testament, forming the Holy Bible, only adding more confusion to Christianity.
If Christians no longer need to follow the laws of Leviticus, why do I keep hearing about women's rights, homosexuals and the 10 Commandments? It doesn't make much sense to me and it shouldn't make any sense to you, especially if you're a Christian.
Just because Paul mentioned a few things about women and homosexuals in the New Testament, Christians feel the need to keep bringing this stuff up and creating negative feelings for others. Imagine yourself walking in someone else's shoes, just to see how they might feel.
Just because someone doesn't share your same sex or sexual beliefs, do Christians need to keep bringing up the Old Testament laws of Leviticus to shame these people or put them in their proper place? I don't know how you personally handle situations like this, but I can guarantee you that Jesus wouldn't handle them the same way.
I never knew Jesus and don't know for sure that he ever existed, but from what I have read in the Bible, I think Jesus would have showed everyone the same love and understanding. It's hard to imagine that Christians follow Jesus of Nazareth and assume to understand what is right and wrong, without understanding who Jesus was according to the writings in the Holy Bible.
Jesus was obviously crucified and this brought change to a lot of people. I think it's time that the book of Leviticus is crucified to take the necessary change one step further.
