During something that appears to be a setback or failure, see if you can just allow yourself to not get angry over it at all, even the least bit. Sure, it can be something that might cause a person to get their blood boiling at least a little bit, but you can likely even make something constructive out of this. See what possible measures you can take to expand upon what you already know in a particular area. This inspiration may play a role in helping do even better in something than you would have otherwise accomplished with whatever you "failed" with.
There are even likely more than one way to actually benefit from what seems to be a temporary setback. Amongst the things you might have heard is that successful people throughout history nevertheless went through difficult times, and had to overcome them. Consider that Thomas Edison failed thousands of different times attempting to make the working light bulb, but he eventually did. Certain people who made successful television shows even literally lived on the streets for a certain portion of their lives.
Another idea from someone who went through a setback is to persist with what you are already sure works, even if it means taking the same strategies elsewhere from where you were rejected from, because you may very well excel with a place that accepts your particular works. It may not be so wise to just immediately give up and see how you might scramble for money. By refusing to sell out, ironically, you may well end up making more money in the long-run than if you did sell out.
