Is there such a thing as comfortable wedding heels?  Every bride wants to have the most gorgeous shoe on her wedding day.  So, she looks around for the best possible wedding shoe.  Her criteria is usually as follows:  1)  how pretty the shoe looks, 2) how gorgeous the shoe looks, and 3) how she looks in those shoes.  Again, the bride fails to think about how comfortable the shoes are and instead thinks only about how she will look on her big day.  Granted, this makes sense since the wedding day is the one day that a girl gets to look the most beautiful and have the most attention granted to her.  So, of course all brides will want to look their best.  However, when it comes to their bridal shoes, they may want to think twice before choosing those high heel wedding shoes.

It is important for brides to remember that comfortable wedding shoes may save their feet at the end of the night.  Although those comfortable shoes do not look as pretty and do not sparkly as brightly as the gorgeous wedding heels that they are considering, they will feel much better at the end of the night than the other shoes.  I'm not suggesting that a bride absolutely has to buy low heel wedding shoes, but only that she should think through how much pain and discomfort her feet can withstand. I know some brides that stood the whole day in their 4 inch heels and only felt uncomfortable towards the end.  Other brides, who are not used to standing in high heels should be careful about choosing heels that are too high or too uncomfortable.  One trick to that is to try and wear those bridal shoes you buy around the house.  Do this for more than an hour and make sure you stand, not sit for the entire time.  If your feet still feel good after that, then perhaps those shoes are very comfortable. 

The other alternative is to buy wedding flip flops to change into.  Then you can go ahead and buy those high heel wedding shoes and then change into the wedding flip flops when your feet get tired.  With wedding flip flops, you won't have to worry about buying a pair of comfortable shoes since you will have a backup shoe.  Still, many designers are making more comfortable shoes these days that still look fantastic so the other alternative is to search for those shoes.  Cole Haan, Charles David, Kenneth Cole, Carlos Santana, all make some heels that are more comfortable and easy to wear.  Wedding heels are very important for the big day, but comfortable wedding shoes are even more important to keep you happy and dancing the whole night.
