For many students, college student jobs are the only way to get through college financially. Going to college, especially a good college, can be extremely expensive.

College student jobs are also necessary for those students who no longer live at home with their parents. This increases their day-to-day living expenses even more; gas or public transportation fees, car maintenance, rent, groceries and the electricity bill.

Some students are lucky enough not to have to worry about these costs as their scholarship or parents cover for these expenses. However, even these students might be looking for college student jobs.
