Collection Of Two Poems

Where are they?

Was a winter morning,

riding a bus.

It stopped at a Metro pillar.

Saw rugged children under it

sheltered in a blanket.

It was spread in a way,

to cover partially them all.

Was stunned the way

boys on the extremes pulling it

on their sides and clinging.

It’s winter again,

and riding the same bus.

Wonder what happened to

those children I saw that year?

---

I am what I am

I don’t want to live like a king

I don’t want to live like a hermit

There are some pros and cons of life

I will live with all of these.

I may be subtle in nature

I may be warm in nature

Must be another thing in me for sure

I will live with all of these.

Some may say I am good

Some may say I am bad

Whether I am good or bad

I will live with all of these.

I am what I am

I am what I am.

Note: These two poems are self written poems. The first poem was written just when I reached office just after seeing the condition of those children. This poem tries to find the irony between the boldness of metro pillar that says of Indias growing economic power and the fragile children who live under it.

The second poem has nothing to do in particular. I really do not remember the exact timing of the composition of this poem. But one thing is for sure that the day I wrote it I must have been in sober mood.
