A turtle neck sweater is primarily worn during special occasions, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and can receive stains along the way. It is important to immediately catch stains on a turtle because they are usually made of pricier material. Since turtle neck sweaters are tighter to your body they are very vulnerable to stains, created not by food but by humans. The oil produced from our skin and hair can easily, over time creates odor and deterioration, but if caught quickly will be prevented. To clean your turtle neck follow the tips below to continue smelling great and looking fresh.

Since turtlenecks ride tightly against your neck area, hair and skin oil seep deeply into the collar. To get these stains out, the first step is by taking a cold, wet, rag and add shampoo. Gently massage the shampoo into the collar of the sweater. Make sure that you have unfolded the sweater to ensure that you have you have cleaned your collar evenly. After you have done a thorough job of cleaning, rinse the area with cold water. If the oil stains are larger you may need to repeat the steps above.

One of the worst feelings in the world is when you are at a party and spill wine on your turtleneck. The most important thing to do is act immediately. This is very important because the stain will become permanent and your sweater will be ruined. The first step in cleaning is get to the nearest kitchen or bathroom and head straight to the sink. Take a clean towel and run it under water. Blot the stain as much as you can. The next step is taking vinegar and doing the exact same thing. Pour the vinegar onto a new rag or directly onto the turtle neck and blot until the stain is completely gone. Then pat the area dry with a dry towel. The vinegar will smell but can be erased the next time you wash your Turtleneck Sweater [http://pcleaners.com/cottonsweaters.html]
